ARtefacts creator is a no-code, cloud-based tool for making spatial gamified travel experiences within the real world. With a design for the itinerary, narrative, and assets (characters, items, environments), a creator can easily translate their vision into an interactive game with a large variety of play mechanisms in real time.
Who is Artefacts made for?
After getting acquainted with the basics, anyone can turn their ideas into real-world games using ARtefacts Creator. Technical backgrounds are not necessary, the platform is specifically designed to be suitable for everyone, from writers to artists, children and adults alike. Intuitive back-end inputs result in fully-formed interactive experiences at the push of a button, and a minimal UI carefully balances flexibility with control to provide helpful guide rails that do not hamper creativity. With its ease of use and universal applicability, the opportunities of gamifying the world become truly endless.
What is the age range for this course?
We can customise the content for students aged 10 to 18. However, to ensure a cohesive group dynamic and the best learning experience, we recommend that the age difference within a single cohort does not exceed 3 years.
What equipment do students need for the course??
Since ARTEFACTS is a cloud-based tool, students only need a standard laptop with an internet connection to access the ARTEFACTS interface. A smartphone or tablet is also recommended for testing and playing the location-based games they create outdoors.
How does AI fit into the curriculum?
We use AI as a creative partner. Students learn to use AI tools to assist in generating storylines, summarizing content, and creating game assets. This teaches them how to leverage AI ethically and effectively to enhance their own creativity rather than replacing it.
Will a certificate be provided after the course?
Yes, a certificate of completion will be issued to all participants. Additionally, students who demonstrate excellent performance will be awarded a Certificate with Distinction.
