Knowing is not enough, we must apply.
Willing is not enough, we must do.
Although print stationary is hugely useful in some business situations, they have a negative environmental impact. As the business landscape is becoming more and more digital oriented, stationary such as name-card and letterheads are becoming less essential. In order to lower environmental impact at EXP., print business cards are approved and produced for individuals on a case-by-case bases, based on his/her business use-case needs.

Motion gives life to graphics.
The basics of motion is to move from point A to point B. But how one carries out that motion conveys style, intent, and character. At SLEEEP we move with a slow start, accelerates into a fast progress and slow-down to make a safe landing. We do that mostly following the '80/20' rule, literally, in acceleration settings within Adobe After Effects®.

The signage system for SLEEEP should be intuitive, simple, beautiful, poetic and polite (sometimes funny!). They should inform, suggest, warn, surprise and delight our users at the correct moment.
Users moving through a space is like the rolling of a film. Layers and layers of efforts are put into creating the space, signages should be the tip of the iceberg that guides the experience of this space. The experience we ultimately want to create is one that is unique, unforgettable, and inspiring.
The signage can be applied via print, stencil, cut outs, light and shadow, projections. They can be of shapes, icons, animations, words or sentences, applied to walls, floors, ceilings, curtains, glass, doors, windows, stairs, beams, or anywhere in space.
Language instructions, when used, should be multi-lingual : Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Thai etc. QR codes can be used to connect the physical world to the digital world where appropriate.
This is the 點睛 (final-touch) process of the hardware aspect of the product. It is of grave importance.

Signages should be considered in 3 layers, in this order:
1. Basics: Necessities such as fire safety requirements, satisfied with our own brand graphics.
2. Functional: Helping users use our space more intuitively. e.g. Arrows for sliding doors, what and how to use the lockers etc.
3. Delightful: Graphics and words that help make users have a memorable experience of SLEEEP.

Street Art is a vibrant urban culture that we appreciate. There's a fine-line between vandalism and street art largely based on the intent. The difference lies largely in whether the work is aesthetically constructive to its surroundings, and whether it is something that viewers love.
In general, people love things that are clean, beautiful and meaningful. Beauty are sometimes evaluated based on the level of effort involved in its creation.
At SLEEEP we create clean graffiti by turning 'messy' surfaces into clean, matte black surfaces. Beauty could be further achieved by applying shiny black illustration on top of of the matte black surface. Meaning is achieved by the deep communication of our brand value with the artist.
