YEAR 1 OF FUUUN

In 2021, FUUUN, a new mobile experience, debuted. They created a prototype named FUUUN.L.000 and worked with professionals to produce a unique vessel design. They also developed original Tenugui using weather data and went on unforgettable vacations with new pals. FUUUN achieved popularity through media coverage and collaborations. They closed the year with performances at events and ambitious plans for the future, including the launch of FUUUN-S.

2021年はFUUUNの誕生年で、プロトタイプであるFUUUN.L.000が完成しました。ハードウェア面ではクローム包装を採用し、ソフトウェア面ではユニークな製品を目指しました。また、手ぬぐいの専門家と協力してオリジナルの手ぬぐいを開発しました。さまざまな場所を訪れ、多くの素晴らしい出会いがありました。また、フォーブスジャパンにも記事を投稿しました。最後に、今年はFUUUNの初年度であり、創設チームに感謝の気持ちを述べました。

《佰合》是一個跨代共居的城市設計專案，通過共享單位的模式，提供合理的居住空間給年輕人和長者。這個概念能夠同時滿足年輕人面對發展空間不足和長者缺乏適合居住選擇的需求。跨代共居不僅能夠增加人與人之間的交流和互動，促進社會共融，還能提供彼此照應和分享經驗的機會。儘管衝突難以避免，但共宅可以成為促進和諧的平台，讓人們學會互相包容和解決糾紛。這個創新的城市設計方案能夠為香港的年輕人和長者帶來理想的居住環境，並締造更美好的城市生活空間。

Realizing a Dream City

A group of professionals from diverse backgrounds participated in the 'Dream City' open competition organized by Hong Kong Seek Road. Their proposal, titled 100 Hub, focused on addressing the limited space issue in Hong Kong by creating a new town design that could accommodate 100,000 residents. The proposal incorporated the perspectives of different personas, including a retired professional concerned about aging options and a young software engineer contemplating emigration due to housing constraints. The team aimed to meet the needs of these marginalized demographic groups and promote intergenerational living, terraced farming, and the eco-tech industry. With their proposal recognized, they are now seeking partnerships and feedback to realize their ideas and make it a collective dream for the city.

A Space of Our Own

The housing situation in Hong Kong is characterized by unaffordability and limited space, leading to frustration for those seeking apartments. The concept of micro-units, where smaller spaces are more affordable, has become prevalent, but recent trends show that even small apartments are becoming expensive. To challenge this assumption, the idea of co-housing and co-living is gaining traction. Co-housing originated in Denmark and involves multiple families building homes together, sharing resources, and fostering a sense of community. Co-living, on the other hand, operates on a smaller scale of apartments and buildings, providing private and public spaces with shared amenities. The concept has found success in various parts of the world, including the United States and Taiwan. By reimagining homes as collective spaces, the trade-off between size and cost can be overcome, and a sense of community can be fostered. Co-living offers a promising solution to address the changing household dynamics and maintain social interactions in Hong Kong.
